Boney Kapoor Slaps Legal Notice On Priya Prakash Varrier Starrer Sridevi Bungalow
Boney Kapoor is upset with the makers of Sridevi Bungalow that stars Priya Prakash Varrier in it as he feels the movie is a mockery on the life of his late actress-wife Sridevi
Priya Prakash Varrier became an overnight sensation thanks to her wink and eyebrow game. Now, the actress is all geared up for her Bollywood debut, but even before it releases, the movie has hit a roadblock. The title of the film Sridevi Bungalow comes across as a mockery on the life of late actress Sridevi.
The trailer of the movie was released on Tuesday morning and the 1 minute 49 seconds trailer depicts Priya as an actress leading a tragic and lonely life. The trailer comes to a close with the death of the actress in a bathtub reminding one of Sridevi’s accidental death that happened due to drowning last year.
Indeed, it has hurt Sridevi fans and the most hurt of them all, is her husband, film producer Boney Kapoor. He has slapped a legal notice to the makers of the film, reports a web portal. Director Prasanth Mambully has confirmed the same and revealed to the portal, "We received a legal notice from Mr Boney Kapoor last week. And we will face it. I want to tell my film is a suspense thriller. I told him (Boney Kapoor) that Sridevi is a common name. My film's character also happens to be an actress. We will face it (the legal case)." (sic)
Priya refuses to accept or deny the fact that the movie is based on the life of the late actress.
